General information on safe use
LOCKSTA products contain powerful magnets and safety-relevant fasteners. Proper use is absolutely necessary to prevent injuries, damage or functional failures.
Magnetic safety — high performance magnet
The LOCKSTA openers contain a neodymium magnet in an aluminum housing. Keep a safe distance of at least 30 cm from: pacemakers, cochlear implants and other medical implants, magnetic stripe cards (debit/credit cards, ID cards), mobile phones and storage media, laptops, tablets, electronic devices, key cards, hotel cards, electronic locks. The magnet can also work through wood or plastic — be sure to keep a sufficient distance from metal parts or tools when storing. The stationary openers may only be installed and used by adults or authorized personnel.
Risk of injury due to locking mechanism
LOCKSTA cases have an internal metal lock with spring mechanism. Improper handling, such as inserting fingers or tools into the closure area, may cause bruises or punctures. The lock must never be forcibly opened, twisted or pry open. If damaged, shut down immediately.
Risk of damage and disclaimer
The LOCKSTA cases are made of robust neoprene. However, they are not designed for violent use. Do not throw, hit, crack or twist — material breakage, loss of magnetic effect or opening mechanism is possible. The openers are attached to acrylic glass plates. These can break or splinter if dropped. Please only use on sturdy, flat surfaces, do not leave them unattended. Mobile openers must not fall into the hands of students.
Fire & heat protection
The cases are made of neoprene, which can melt or catch fire at very high temperatures. Do not store on radiators, in direct sunlight or in vehicles when hot. Avoid contact with open fire.
Care and cleaning
Wipe surfaces with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use aggressive cleaners or solvents. Let dry — do not blow dry or heat
